Read Through Some of Our Commonly Asked Questions

You can consider the following as a guide to let you know how we function, and what you need to do to get your pet a reservation at Guten Morgen Kennels.

  • How far in advance do I need to make a reservation?

Booking should be made in advance to guarantee a reservation. Long weekends and major holidays will book fast. At no time will we compromise the care of your pet due to high numbers in the kennels. Please book early.

  • What documents are required?

Vet records will be kept on file but you must provide proof of the following vaccinations:

Your vet can either fax or email a record of the vaccinations before your visit.

    • Rabies - either the shot given annually or every three years. An actual certificate is required.

    • Bordetella or “Kennel Cough” - within the past 12 months

    • Parvovirus & Distemper - within the past 12 months

No Animal will be accepted unless these vaccinations are up to date.

  • Should I bring food and treats for my pet?

We highly recommend that you bring your own food and treats for your pet to avoid cross contamination and also to keep your dog on the same healthy diet that they are used to. If your pet's provided food supply is depleted, we will provide a quality kibble until pick up for a service fee.

However you provide your pet's food, whether containers or bags, is your choice

  • Is it OK to bring bedding for my pet?

The dogs are kept in an indoor run and are able to play outside throughout the day. Each indoor run has a shelf above the floor that the dog can lay on. We can provide a mat for your pet but you are welcome to bring one from home if you feel they will be more comfortable. If at any time the bedding becomes soiled we will clean the bedding.
